Private GPs face cash flow ‘issues’

Many small to medium-sized private GP surgeries have come close to running out of money during the past six months.

Research by ING Direct shows while almost one in ten (8%) private GPs are struggling with cash flow, private medical practices are failing to chase outstanding bills worth £4,231.

A further four in ten private GP surgeries admitted they were “concerned” about managing their cash flow issues.

"Small businesses need all the help they can get in the current business environment and shouldn’t be losing out when they want to access their own money quickly,” said Richard Doe CEO of ING Direct.
